JRI has inherited a priceless legacy. The mission of the Group is clear – to uphold Robuchon’s core beliefs of Excellence, Simplicity, and Consistency in every culinary endeavour. Over the years Robuchon mentored countless chefs. Today many of these chefs remain the bannermen of the Robuchon spirit, dedicated to actively promoting existing concepts whilst actively developing new ones.

Step into the world of culinary excellence. With 23 Michelin stars across 14 countries, our restaurant group presents 12 unique concepts, ranging from the original L’Atelier Robuchon to the inviting Le Deli Robuchon. And there is more to come – with a growing pipeline, in additional countries and new concepts.

CHEF JOËL ROBUCHON

Born on 7th April 1945 in Poitiers, Western France, Joël Robuchon was destined for an important role in the culinary world. At the age of 29 and after a period of apprenticeship, he was given a first opportunity to prove himself at the Hotel Concorde Lafayette in Paris, where he led a team of 90. Six years later, in 1981, he opened his first restaurant “Jamin” and made history by being the first chef ever to receive three Michelin stars in the first three years of existence. In 1984, “Jamin” was named Best Restaurant in the World by the International Herald Tribune and in 1989 Joël Robuchon was named Chef of the Century by the prestigious culinary guide Gault & Millau. In 1995, Robuchon, at the age of 50, announced his retirement to focus on several French TV cooking shows, before returning in 2003, when he unveiled a revolutionary concept known as L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon. Much success followed globally he accumulated a total of 32 Michelin Stars. In August 2018 Robuchon passed away. He was 73.
